The Rape of Europa depicts the abduction of the beautiful Phoenician princess Europa by Zeus, with the god having transformed himself into a bull to undertake the deed. Zeus would take Europa to Crete where the princess gave birth to three sons of Zeus, Minos, Sarpedon and Rhadamanthys.
